Copilot without a plan is a line item. Copilot with a plan is leverage.

The difference between a Microsoft 365 Copilot rollout that sticks and one that stalls is the first three use cases. Most businesses skip that step, buy licences, and wonder why adoption plateaus at 20%. We help you find the three tasks that return hours every week, before you sign a purchase order.

Outcomes from the workshop

You leave the workshop with a prioritised plan, a licensing decision, and a rollout path. No vague “let’s keep exploring” outcomes.

3 prioritised use cases

Specific tasks in your business where Copilot returns hours every week, ranked by ROI and effort to deploy.

Licensing decision matrix

A clear comparison of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot for Business, Copilot Chat, and Copilot Studio metered agents against your actual usage patterns and budget.

90-day rollout roadmap

Pilot group, training plan, communications, success metrics, and 30-60-90 day milestones. Your IT team can action it the next day.

Security and data governance review

Recommendations for SharePoint permissions, sensitivity labels, Entra ID conditional access, and compliance obligations before Copilot touches your data.

Recorded session and written summary

Every attendee receives the recording, a written executive summary, the action items list, and the supporting slides for internal circulation.

Licensing scenario costing

Three costed scenarios for your exact user count and M365 tier: conservative pilot, targeted rollout, and full deployment. Includes Copilot Studio agent message metering where relevant.

The three problems this workshop solves

1. Users cannot find 3 tasks they genuinely use Copilot for

Adoption plateaus because staff have not been shown how Copilot applies to the work they actually do. We fix this by starting from your real workflows, not generic demos.

2. Licensing is confusing and over-provisioned

Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot for Business, Copilot Chat, and metered Copilot Studio agents all sound similar. They have very different price points and capabilities. Most businesses buy the wrong mix.

3. Security and data governance concerns stop deployment

IT teams worry about Copilot exposing over-shared SharePoint content, breaching Privacy Act obligations, or hallucinating on sensitive data. Without a governance plan, projects stall in legal review.

Real GCIT implementation
“We run Copilot and Copilot Studio agents internally every day: an agent trained on 10 years of support tickets, another on legal and tax reference material, a third on customer account history for sales preparation.”

We bring this operational experience into every workshop, including the mistakes we made so you can avoid them.

Four hours, four focused outcomes

Delivered virtually via Microsoft Teams by default. On-site delivery available on the Gold Coast, Brisbane, and Northern NSW for an additional travel fee.

1

Hour 1: Business context

We review your workflows and identify the tasks consuming hours per week, not hours per year. We map the departments and roles most likely to benefit from Copilot first.
2

Hour 2: Copilot in action

Live demonstration of Copilot across Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint. We show Copilot Chat grounded in your own SharePoint data and Copilot Studio agents answering real business questions.
3

Hour 3: Licensing and security

We compare licence options against your usage pattern, review your tenant readiness (Entra ID, SharePoint permissions, data classification), and address Privacy Act, Essential Eight, and sensitivity label considerations.
4

Hour 4: Rollout plan

We build your pilot group (5 to 10 users), define success metrics, plan change management communications and training, and cost the 30-60-90 day rollout for your exact organisation size.

Best fit for your business if

You have 10 or more Microsoft 365 users

Copilot ROI scales with the number of users generating and consuming content. Smaller teams get better value from Copilot Chat or Copilot Studio agents than from full seat licences.

You are on Business Standard, Business Premium, or E3/E5

Copilot licences sit on top of these plans. If you are on a lower plan we will help you plan the upgrade path before adding Copilot.

Your leadership is weighing the Copilot investment

The workshop is designed to give the decision-maker a defensible case for go or no-go, with costs and risks quantified against your business.

Your IT team needs a deployment plan

You get an actionable rollout sequence including tenant readiness checks, licence provisioning, pilot management, training content, and success measurement.

You have data governance concerns

We are ISO 27001 certified, and our CISO is certified through TAFE Queensland’s Essential Eight Assessment Course. We understand what Copilot can and cannot do with sensitive data, and how to configure guardrails properly.

You want a broader AI review

If Copilot is one of several AI options you are weighing, start with a free 30 minute discovery call. See our AI and automation services for the wider picture.

Bring the right people and context

The workshop is most effective when the decision-makers and the people whose work will change are both in the room.

A senior decision-maker

Someone with budget authority who can commit to a pilot or rollout. Copilot adoption stalls when the licensing decision has to be taken back to another meeting weeks later.

Three examples of time-consuming tasks

Specific, repeated tasks your team does that take hours per week. Drafting emails, writing reports, analysing spreadsheets, summarising meetings, answering the same customer questions.

Current M365 licence count and tier

How many users, which plans, and whether you are on monthly or annual commit. We use this to model licensing scenarios accurately.

Microsoft Solutions Partner for Modern Work

Delivered by a certified Microsoft Solutions Partner for Modern Work

GCIT holds the Microsoft Solutions Partner for Modern Work designation, meeting advanced certification requirements for Microsoft 365 deployment, security, and identity management. We have been a Microsoft partner continuously since 2002 and currently manage more than 300 Microsoft 365 tenants across the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Northern NSW.
This workshop is not a generic Copilot demo. It is delivered by a team that deploys, configures, and supports Microsoft 365 Copilot in production environments, backed by ISO 27001 certified information security practices and a CISO certified in Essential Eight assessment through TAFE Queensland. We understand the governance, licensing, and data security decisions that determine whether a Copilot rollout succeeds.

Frequently asked questions

Is the workshop delivered virtually or on-site?+
By default the workshop runs virtually via Microsoft Teams. This is usually preferred because we can share screens, record the session, and make it easier for multiple decision-makers to attend without travel. On-site delivery is available for businesses on the Gold Coast, in Brisbane, and in Northern NSW for an additional travel fee.
Do we need to already have Microsoft 365 Copilot licences?+
No. We demonstrate using our own Copilot licences and Copilot Studio agents. If you already have Copilot licences, we can use your environment for the live demonstration portion, which makes the examples more relevant.
What Copilot products does the workshop cover?+
Microsoft 365 Copilot (the full seat licence), Copilot for Business (the 300-user cap option), Copilot Chat (included with M365 Business Standard and above), Copilot Studio (for building custom agents), and Copilot in Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. We also cover Microsoft Graph connectors and agent metering where relevant.
What is the difference between this and the AI Discovery Workshop?+
The AI Discovery Workshop (A$695 ex GST) tests one AI idea against your real data and ends with a feasibility report and a fixed-price proposal for the first build. The Copilot Readiness Workshop focuses on Microsoft 365 Copilot. If you are weighing several AI options, start with a free discovery call. If you are on Microsoft 365 and evaluating Copilot, start here.
What if we decide not to proceed with Copilot after the workshop?+
You keep the workshop outputs. The use case prioritisation, licensing comparison, and security recommendations are valuable whether you move forward with Copilot, a different AI tool, or postpone the decision. Many clients use the outputs to evaluate Claude for Teams or Enterprise, Google Gemini for Workspace, ChatGPT Business, or building their own targeted automations with Power Automate.
How does the workshop handle our sensitive or regulated data?+
The workshop itself uses hypothetical examples unless you request otherwise. If you do want to use real data in live demonstrations, we sign a confidentiality agreement and use Copilot in your tenant under your security controls. We are ISO 27001 certified and understand the Privacy Act, Essential Eight, and industry-specific obligations across healthcare, legal, and financial services.
Can the workshop fee be credited to a larger engagement?+
Yes. If you engage GCIT for a Copilot pilot, full rollout, or adoption and change management program within 90 days of the workshop, the workshop fee is deducted from the project cost.
