Our history
James, Blair and Elliot Munro grew up in their parents’ small computer business on the southern Gold Coast and Tweed. In 2015 they merged their businesses to form GCIT.
In 1996 our dad brought home a computer in pieces. By grade nine we were fixing computers around the neighbourhood. Technology changes faster every year. We’re still the same family, answering the same phone number.

As a managed service provider (MSP), we take a proactive approach, focusing on reliability, security, and long-term strategy rather than waiting for things to break.
We work with small to mid-sized businesses that want dependable IT and cybersecurity without the overhead of managing it internally. GCIT Essentials, our entry managed IT plan, is for a minimum of 10 users, from A$1,442 a month ex GST (A$144.23 per user a month). Microsoft 365 licences are billed separately.
GCIT was formed in 2015 when Gold Coast IT businesses that had been running since 2003 merged. Together we have supported Gold Coast organisations for more than 20 years.
We are the Gold Coast’s highest-rated MSP on Google (as at 10 October 2026, how we check this), and we were the first Gold Coast-based MSP certified to ISO 27001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, reflecting our commitment to security, quality and consistent service delivery.
Some of our clients use GCIT as their entire IT team, while others use us in a co-managed model to support internal staff. We adapt to what makes the most sense for your business.
